We are in the midst of a Strategic Techno-Economic Arms Race.
The 21st century isn’t just about a nuclear or military arms race - it’s a GeoTech race for control over semiconductors, AI models, compute power, and sovereign data. In this race, technology isn’t just innovation - it’s infrastructure, influence, and independence.

In sectors like defence, climate, and deeptech, founders are tackling hard problems - problems that demand long-term thinking, patient capital, and deep conviction. But these startups rarely benefit from the mainstream VC playbook. They are too technical, too strategic, too "early.

Solara is a signal-driven venture studio focused on India’s strategic frontiers - Defence, DeepTech, Climate, and Health. Nakul Saxena

Nakul Saxena is a hands-on early-stage investor with over 43 investments across Deeptech, Fintech, and D2C startups. With a founder-first approach, he works closely with entrepreneurs - often like a co-founder - offering capital, strategic direction, and policy insight. Over his 28-year career spanning technology, banking, and travel sectors, Nakul has led initiatives in public policy, sales, and advocacy for startups and software products. Over the last decade and more he has played a key role in connecting founders, investors, and incubators to accelerate India’s innovation economy.

A strong proponent of ecosystem-building, Nakul has collaborated with central bodies like MOF, SEBI, RBI, DIPP, and DEITY, driving impactful policy reforms on Angel Tax, Drone Policy, and the National Software Product Policy. He has also worked with state governments in Rajasthan, Karnataka, Kerala, and West Bengal to create conducive environments for startups. His work often intersects with transformative platforms like India Stack, and his focus remains on enabling founders in sectors like DeepTech, Healthcare, and Payments to scale with long-term vision and ecosystem support.

Jayant Goel

Jayant Goel, a Chartered Accountant and a Cost & Management Accountant, brings over 32 years of diverse experience.

He has worked with prestigious organizations like Arthur Andersen, Hughes, and Fidelity International. His expertise spans Financial Services, Oil & Gas, and Telecom sectors, with deep knowledge in Corporate Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, Tax & Regulatory compliance, and Risk Management.

Jayant also serves on the Boards of several large corporates.
